Origo Helps Launch New Website for CTL Engineering

Since its early beginnings in 1927, CTL Engineering has expanded in many ways. The full-service engineering testing, inspection, and analytics laboratory has grown in clients, employees, and most of all, services and expertise. To continue this pattern of growth, CTL Engineering asked Origo Branding Company to design and develop a new website for their brand–one that better reflected their position as one of the most diverse and service-oriented firms in the Midwest.

Research & Consultation

Using a research driven approach, Origo kicked off the project by conducting different brand exercises to discover benchmark websites and creative inspiration. We also interviewed leadership from each of CTL Engineering’s service lines to find out what mattered most to their clients, prospects, and web visitors. This process helped us identify:

  • Key user profiles and user goals
  • Messaging and content strategy
  • Service and market segmentation
  • Value propositions
  • Lead generation tactics
  • Competitor analysis

Website Design and Development

Leveraging the insights gained in the research phase, Origo created a user-friendly, multi-platform web experience that better communicated CTL Engineering’s breadth of services, friendly people, and approach to business. This included:

  • An optimized site architecture and navigation strategy, allowing visitors to easily find information, while also improving lead capture rates
  • An environment video that showcased the people and philosophy of CTL Engineering
  • A content strategy with recommendations on focus keywords, content structure, and deployment
  • Content sharing capabilities, such as a platform for videos, social media, and blogging
  • Cross-platform navigation for a consistent experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
  • An SEO strategy that kept content fresh and relevant to help boost search rankings
