Origo has worked closely with Columbus Metropolitan Library over the years to help promote reading and education in and around the Central Ohio community with their #1 outreach program, the Summer Reading Club. After six years of creating successful brand strategies for this program, we were especially excited for this year’s branding as it speaks to our true passions— creativity, expression, and ROCK & ROLL.
In June, CML was proud to introduce the 2013 Summer Reading Club theme, “Rock Out! Read.” Looking to connect with an audience between Kindergarten and 6th grade, we created a hero for the brand, DJ Night Owl, who reflects the expression, exploration, and fun that kids can experience when they open their minds to the power of reading. Brought to life with a playful design style, along with some of his fun forest friends, DJ Night Owl shows how reading is an exciting way to share, learn, and grow.
Through new experiences and prizes, Columbus Metropolitan Library is bringing reading and education to the children and families of Central Ohio, and making a lasting impact. Come check out all the fun at one of the CML’s 21 branches and see how your family can sign up to rock out and read.
