We are very proud of our experience and expertise in the field of higher education, especially when we get to work with such inspirational clients as The Ohio State University’s College of Social Work. It was exciting to partner with this incredible institution, whose mission is to prepare students to enhance individual and community well-being, celebrate difference, and promote justice for vulnerable populations. With the help of our team, the college embarked on the re-design and re-launch of their new website to help reach core audiences of students, faculty, and other social work professionals across the nation.
Taking a student-centered approach, we set out with a primary objective of making the site more user-friendly through an optimal site architecture that would allow current and potential students to quickly and easily access important information. One navigational approach we added was to the homepage, creating three main quick links that called out to degree-level audiences: Undergraduate Students, Master’s of Social Work (MSW) Students, and PhD Students. Clicking on any of the three sections immediately leads users down a path of content tailored to individual interests and needs.
What’s just as exciting as the new look and feel is the implementation of responsive web design. With this new and innovative approach, the site maintains its beautiful design and easy navigation when viewed on a range of mobile and tablet devices, as well as the traditional desktop display.
Also included was the integration of WordPress, a Content Management System that allows each department to easily update, manage, and edit the content of their section— easily archiving different files and multimedia for their students to access.
Other features on the website include:
- Social Media Integration
- Events Calendar
- Job Board
- Contact Forms
